Spring Family Camp-out 2015

WHO:
The Spring Family Camp-out is open to all Registered Pack 243 Cub Scouts, their parents, siblings, grandparents, and other family members. All Cub Scouts must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

WHAT:

Come one come all to our annual Spring Camp-out! We'll be going to Cooper Lake State park South Sulfur unit for a great scouting weekend!

Other camping activities typically include:
-Campfire Program
-Dutch oven cooking
-Sports
-Leave no trace
-Flashlight tag
-a Hike
And more (plus chances to earn at least one beltloop)

Not wanting to stay the night?  That's OK! Just come by for the day, stay for dinner and the campfire!

HOW MUCH:
The pack pays for the campsite and dinner and 2 breakfast meals.

There is a park entrance fee of $5 per adult per night, so staying Friday & Saturday will be $10 per adult.  If you have a Texas state park pass you can use it to get in as well.
If you only want to come for the day it is $7 per adult.

Sleeping pad (for comfort – foam, cot, etc)
Fork, knife, spoon, plate, cup (1)
Flashlight, at least one – with extra batteries
Clothes
Extra Socks
Hat
Appropriate Cub Scout Book
Cub Scout/Cub Scout leader uniform (Field(A) & Activity(B) shirt)
Pajamas or sleepwear
Jacket, gloves, and warm cap, as required
by weather
Durable, closed toed shoes
Canteen or water bottle
Toiletries
No electronic games, etc.

Tent stakes
Rubber mallet
Ground cloth
Camp chair(s)
Bug spray
Sun screen
Toilet paper
Igloo cooler
First Aid Kit
Binoculars / Telescopes
Nature guides / Books/ Identification Charts
Fishing gear!!
The pack will provide food and drinks for the meals noted, however you may want to bring any special snacks as well as extra drinks for your family.


Notes:

EACH SCOUT MUST HAVE A MEDICAL FORM FILLED OUT BEFORE THE CAMPOUT!
  IT CAN BE FOUND HERE.
Families can put them in sealed envelopes if they are concerned about personal information and we will only open them in case of emergency then return them at the end of the campout.  Signed forms are good for one year.
