Scouting for Food, Rain or Shine!

posted Feb 10, 2014, 9:40 PM by Pack Cubmaster
Scouting for food is this Saturday February 15th all across the USA, it is one of the largest single food drives in the country, and Pack 243 will be a part of it!  It offers a chance for our boys to help those in need.
We will meet at Stone Park in Woodbridge (6000 Laurel Crest Lane Sachse map) around 9:30am.  All family members can help, we will break up into groups of two and three scouts & parents and canvas the neighborhood to ask for canned donations for a local food bank.  Scouts should wear their full uniform during the event, but also watch the weather and dress warmly if needed!
Bags and maps will be handed out when we arrive.  At 12pm noon we will meet back at the park parking lot and count the canned goods, and deliver them to the pantry.
